We picked up our hire car on Wednesday morning and set off on an anti-clockwise route to Nimbin. Our primary objective was to purchase a bottle of Hemp from the Northern Rivers Hemp shop. The secondary objective was to see what Nimbin was like, it being sold to tourists as the hippie capital of NSW.

We had a coffee at the Feast Cafe and people watched for a while, then headed off to find the Hemp lotion for Mike, which on advise of the cafe owner we found and purchased from the Apothecary opposite. A short while later we found the actual Northern Rivers Hemp store. Fortunately, the prices were the same in both shops. Susan bought a bottle for her own use.

We visited a few more shops, including the bakery then continued on our circular journey to the Bryon Bay Lighthouse, which we’d last visited in 2009.

Having been at the most South Westerly part of Australia we were now at the most Easterly point of mainland Australia. Susan didn’t fancy the walk to Little Wategos bay so I went alone. I didn’t continue as far as I could have done, instead I went down to the bay and had a quick paddle.
