On Thursday Rachel took us to the Shelly Beach Cafe in Ballina for breakfast. I had a Brekkie Burger, Susan either had Avo Toast or Eggs Your Way on Sourdough and Rachel opted for Thai Scramble. After a short walk / paddle on the beach it was off to the shops to buy stuff for Alfie’s 3rd birthday party, and several touristy places on the way back home.

On the way to the Big Prawn we stopped off at the Northern Rivers Seafood fish market where Rachel bought some fish to make ceviche for the evening’s starter.

On the return journey we visited Killen Falls
